So I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on Saturday and posted a little print out the dealer gave me. Of note was when a rep was asked how much he would estimate the cost of said "trucklet," to which he said, "ecoboost shortbed regular cab 4x4? maybe $32-37k." Good estimate, sir. Not what I want to hear (I'm cheap) but good.

So I went to Ford.com today to put one together.
Hey, wait a minute...
Tremor.
I could easily be late to the party in finding this out but there it is. Up on Ford's website. Even if it's not called out, the graphic has been updated.
At $38k without adding a bunch of crap to it we may have our ballpark figure. I was reeeeeeally pulling for that $25k that kept getting reported. Oh well.

Just wait for the end-of-year closeout pricing and rebates and the dealer markdown. I've heard most F-150s easily sell for $10k less, so you're looking at sub-$30k.

That's still an FX2 model. It's pretty upscale on the inside, they may cheapen a true Tremor trim level into more sport truck without the fancy stuff. I always thought the 25-28k was a pretty low number though.

Same. I looked for the FX2 model specifically because when you see the press shots of the Tremor before being used as the pace car for things that tends to be the trim. Considering a base F-150 starts at $24k and change the whole $25k estimate seemed bs.

I've heard the average profit per truck is about $10k so that makes sense. Still would put that $25k estimate that kept showing up in fp articles away.

*Imagines a Ranger Sport with the 2.0L Ecoboost for <$25k*
*cries*

I haz a sad now too................

Personally, I think I'd still rather have the 5.0 powered F-150. I priced out a really basic 4x4 model for about $35k, which would turn into $25k, leaving me money for wheels that don't look like I drive a work pickup.

So much potential.
I love trucks...can't even be absolutely certain as to why haha

Might as well save up for the Raptor...

Then I could get an exhaust and some Fox offroad shocks, CAI, tune, upgrade the sound system...SO MUCH I COULD DO!

Oh yeah the Tremor definitely looks FX2.
And they bumped the price, last year I believe an XL started in the 22's.

FEAR MY WRATH, PUNY MORTAL! I AM SVT RAPTOR!

Earlier this year it was at $23k, if I recall. That was roughly March...early spring.

I guess I was close, either way...price increase.
Everyone complains about how F150's can be optioned into what...the 50's 60s and then says they don't built work trucks for cheap. if you compare there cost with no fancy stuff, 24k for it's capability isnt really that bad of a price.

I feel that most of the fancy stuff ruins the point of a truck. Although a backup camera would be a preferred luxury.
![]() 11/18/2013 at 17:02 |

I see the camera (or at least a sensor) to be more of a functionality component at this point. Helps line up trailers and parking.
I don't agree with the luxury trucks really but they are nice as hell and if I used one as a daily driver i'd love it.

$38K?
What planet are FORD and GM on these days?
We got a z28 camaro supposedly upwards of $80K, Ford with a 2door light duty pick up at $40K.
They finally start making adequate products and think they can charge HIGH end prices.

The Ram 1500 Black Express(and the Express in general) is a somewhat similar concept and starts out at $34k.
